Visitation at Duda-Ruck Funeral Home from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14, and a 9 a.m. memorial service at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 15, will precede burial at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens for Ethel C. "Tina" Coates. The Delvale Avenue resident died on Jan. 10 at age 56.
The daughter of Charles and Ethel Tawney, both of whom predeceased her, was a Baltimore native and attended Kenwood High School. She worked as a Baltimore County school bus driver and enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, William Coates, daughter Laura Sappington, siblings John Tawney, Joe Tawney, Richard Tawney, Joyce West, Sue Tawney, Donna DelGiudice and Debbie Stevens and five grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Robert Collins, and siblings Bob Tawney, Charles Tawney, Ron Tawney, Jimmy Tawney, Fred Tawney and Mary Parker.
