LOUISE EMMONS TATE
Louise Douglas Emmons Tate, age 90 of Pensacola, passed away Friday, April 30, 2004 at a local health care facility. She was born April 12, 1914 in Opp, AL to Henry and Adie Blocker Douglas.Louise was preceded in death by her husbands, John D. Emmons and Theo E. Tate; her son, James Emmons and her daughter, Patricia Woody.
She is lovingly survived by and will be greatly missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Roy D. and Sally Emmons; her daughter and son-in-law, Doris Faye and Ralph Clark; her daughter, Betty McQuigg and son-in-law, Bob Woody; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a special friend, Ethel Inskeep; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 3, 2004 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with her grandson, Russell Woody and Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Park.
Active and honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway, is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, May 2, 2004 at Faith Chapel South.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Northpointe Retirement, Tandem Health Care and Covenant Hospice, especially John Griffin, for their compassionate care and support during the illness of our loved one.
