Janette was the dau. of John White and Jane Elder of Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada. She was married to William Tannahill, who was killed in the Civil War. They were the parents of nine children, John, Jane Elder, William, James, Jeannette, Anna, George H., Isabelle Margaret(FAG Memorial# 59456581),and Ellen Christina.

Janette was my 2gg mother. I have a great love for her as she had to raise her family without a father after he died in the Civil War. I love them both.
