Her burial is also recorded at Greytown CemeteryElizabeth was born in Taita, Lower Hutt which is 23km north east of Wellington, New Zealand.
Her parents were William and Elizabeth (nee Dugald) from Scotland.
Her father arrived in New Zealand on the BENGAL MERCHANT in February 1840 when he was 20.
Her mother was on the same boat as a single woman - they married 6 weeks after arriving.

Elizabeth married John Ings-Daysh in Upper Hutt when she was 19 and he was 23.
They had 10 children in te Wairarapa.

She died in Belvedere, Carterton aged 62 (burial records say 67), 26 years before John.
