SABETHA--Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha for Sarah Tanking, 60, Sabetha, who died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at a Wichita hospital.
She was born Feb. 22, 1940, in Atchison, to James N. and Pearl Miller Colman. She spent her early life in Atchison where she attended grade school. She moved with her parents to St. Joseph, Mo., where she graduated from high school in 1958. She worked for Westab Paper Co., in St. Joseph which later became Mead Paper Products. She was a secretary.
She married Martin Tanking on March 28, 1981, in St. Joseph, Mo., and they moved to Sabetha. He survives.
A brother, Jim Colman, St. Joseph, Mo., also survives.
Burial will be in Sabetha Cemetery.
