Father of actresses Constance, Natalie and Norma Talmadge and husband of actress and stage mother, Margaret Talmadge. A known drunk, he left the family on Christmas Day, 1900 when he went out for food and never returned. Twenty years later, Margaret identified him on a park bench in New York, a drunken vagrant. Constance insisted they rescue him and he later got work on film crews from Joseph Schenck.

Dear Sir, your life on earth is remembered and honoured by many. You are in the most beautiful and harmonic place of all, may you enjoy all that surrounds you and rest in that heavenly peace. God bless you and yours.
