Merle Margaret Talley Black, 84, died Thursday, July 21, 2005 in Wellington. She was born September 27,1920 in Dodson, to Charlie R. Talley and Maggie Shadix Talley. She married Clarence Black October 29, 1940 in Dodson. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was an Avon salesperson for 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence in March of this year and by 2 sons Melvin Black in 1978 and Lynvell Black in 2004.
She is survived by daughter-in-law Lameda Black of Wellington; two grandchildren, Leslie and Dean Ewing of Hollis, and Larry Black of Granbury; and three great-grandchildren, Kynna, Kailee, and Gunnar Ewing all of Hollis.
