Warner Robins, GA: Doy Jene Barks, 74, passed away on Saturday October 4, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 9th, in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10AM until service time. Burial will be private. Mrs. Barks was born in Zanesville, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene & Dorothy Ziemer Talley.
She was a graduate of Meredith Business College in OH and received a business degree. She was a long time member of the Lions Club and was a former president for the Georgia Camp for the Blind. Mrs. Barks was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her husband Francis "Hank" Barks of Warner Robins, two sons Mike (Janet) Barks of Warner Robins, Brian (Angelique) Barks of Alpharetta, sister Pam (Mike) Bennett of Anna, OH, brothers Lee Talley of Zanesville, OH, Charles (Mary) Talley of Lima, OH, four grandchildren Sarah Barks, Ben Barks, Annabella Barks and Killian Barks.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind at 5626 Laura Walker Rd., Waycross, GA, 31503.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
