Maude Estella Talkington was born September 28, 1911. On July 31, 1948, she married Eldon Louis Brooks. Together they had one son.
Estella is survived by her son and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Talkington; and four sisters, Adeline Conlin, Daisy Orban, Katherine Dowland, and Mable Plogger.
Estella worked in the kitchen at Southwestern High School in Piasa, Illinois, and retired at the age of 75 as a housemother at Beverly Farm Foundation in Godfrey, Illinois.
Lovingly remembered by a family member, Estella was a doting aunt and mother, and a lovely person.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Oakwood Cemetery in Greenfield, Illinois.
