Martha Marie Mitsoff, 93, of Eastwood, passed away Sunday at Francis House. She was born on February 5, 1920 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Angelo and Rose Picalila Taddeo. She had retired from the Syracuse City School District. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, a member of the Lincoln Republicans Club, enjoyed cooking, music, and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Christy; son, Chris, and grandson, John; brothers, Frank and Michael Taddeo. Survived by daughters, Sandra (Lee) Cantalupe of Syracuse, Donna (Michael) Coy and Judy (Louis) Torres, both of New Mexico; brothers, George (Judy) Taddeo of Syracuse, David (Carolyn) Cheira of Georgia; grandsons, Peter (Andrea) Cantalupe, Gilbert Gurule; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 5 at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church with burial to follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Family will greet friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m. before the Mass in church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY or Francis House.
