Born in Westport Point, she was the daughter of the late Andrew A. Taber and Helen G. Taber. Glenda had a great desire for learning and reading. She graduated from Hyannis Teachers College, and taught at many schools in Westport and Dartmouth. She was also the Town of Westport Librarian from 1963-1967. Glenda loved reminiscing about growing up in Westport Point. She belonged to the Westport Historical Society and received a special citation for her research.
Glenda is survived by her loving children: Lois Allen and her husband Fran, Meredith Leach and her husband Brian, Andrew Broadbent and his wife Robin; and 4 loving grandchildren: Wendy Taylor, Andrew Sherman, Ashlen and Drew Broadbent.
Arrangements are under the direction of Potters Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road Westport.
