Leo R. Tronson, 61, of 1123 S. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon at the family residence. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Monday in St. John United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Tronson was born March 9, 1917, in Sturgeon Bay, son of the late Theodore and Elizabeth Fitzgiven Tronson. He moved to Manitowoc in 1941, residing here since. He married Gertrude Sattler Nov. 20, 1943. He had been employed as a painter at Manitowoc Engineering Co. for 35 years and was a member of the church council of St. John United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, John of Vasalia, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Herbert (Viola) Cox of Missoula, Mont., his mother-in-law, Mrs. Emma Sattler of Manitowoc and nieces and nephews. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Sunday afternoon until 11:30 am Monday. The casket will then be moved to the church where the body will lie in state from noon until the time of service.
