Funeral services willl be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Evangelical Lutheran
church in Rockwood, the Rev. Edward Zell officiating. Burial will be in the
church cemetery.
Mr. Tills was born on a farm in the town of Manitowoc Rapids in 1861. In 1868 he
married Miss Augusta Laase and they moved to a farm in Muskego, Waukesha county.
In 1891 they returned to this county to take up farming. Mrs. Tills died 11
years ago.
Survivors are three sons, Ernst of route 6, Manitowoc, William of Rockwood,
George of this city; daughter, Mrs. William Kappelman of route 6, Manitowoc; two
brothers, August, of Newton; William of Waterford, Wis.; and 11 grand-children.
The body may be viewed at the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home and will
be moved to the church Saturday at 10 a.m. The casket will be closed at 2 p.m.
and will not be opened again.
