Thursday evening following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval W. Kock will officiate with burial
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Tills was born April 4, 1887, in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids, son of the
late August and Dorothea Piepelow Tills. He was educated in Manitowoc County
Schools and married Elsie Baruth June 3, 1911, at Manitowoc. Mr. Tills had been
employed at Normington Laundry and Dry Cleaners for 25 years, retiring in 1952.
Mrs. Tills preceded him in death April 10, 1968. He was a member of First German
Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Elmer W. and Marcille Tills, of
Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Nack, of Two Rivers and Mrs. Emma
Kielsmeier, of Fond du Lac, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and
nieces and nephews. A son, Raymond, and a brother, William, preceded him in
death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home from 4 to 9 oclock this
Friday evening and at the church from noon Saturday until the time of service.
