with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Nack, Two Rivers, died
shortly after midnight Friday at the Two Rivers Municipal hospital. He had been
a patient there for the last two weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at St. John's
Lutheran church, Two Rivers and interment will be at Evergreen cemetery here.
The body is at the Beduhn funeral home, and may be viewed at 3 o'clock Sunday
afternoon. It will be removed to the church Monday morning, to lie in state from
11 a.m. until the hour of the funeral.
Born May 22, 1865, on the homestead farm in the town of Manitowoc Rapids, the
son of David and Dorothea Tills, August Tills grew to manhood and was married on
that farm, his bride being Miss Dorothy Pieplow who came from Germany. The
marriage took place Feb. 6, 1885, and the family coninued to make its home on
the farm until the death of Mrs. Tills eleven years ago.After the death of his
wife, Mr. Tills went to Two Rivers and made his home with his son-in-law and
daughter.
Two sons preceded the father in death, one in infancy and the other, William,
died last year. Survivors are one son, Charles of Manitowoc, and two daughters,
Mrs. William Nack of Two Rivers and Mrs. Hugo Kielsmeier of Fond du Lac, 14
grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
