Virginia Eloise Thomas 84, of Colonial Heights, died March 5, 2010 at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Julian Aubrey Luck and Grace Snead Luck. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband George Lee Thomas and a son George Luck Thomas. She was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church and the Faith Bible Class. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her sons Kenneth L. Thomas and wife Joan A., of Colonial Heights, Joseph D. Thomas and wife Cindi of Newport Richey, Florida, daughters Linda T. Wells of Palm Beach Florida, Brenda T. Clarke and husband Larry Sr., of Dinwiddie. Seven grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, two sisters Polly Turner, and Jane Scarborough of Chesterfield, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday March 8, 2010 at Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, with the Reverend Jim Burton officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday March 7, 2010 from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 4240 Park Place Court Glenn Allen, Virginia 23060. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
