CHARLES G. THIELEN (d. 1986)

Charles G. Thielen, 86, of 1219 S. 12th Street, Manitowoc, died Friday evening,
September 12, 1986 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services
will be 2 pm Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Gerald Schrankler
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Thielen was November 15, 1899 at Manitowoc, son of the late Charles and Emma
Thielen. He was a lifelong Manitowoc resident and attended Manitowoc Schools. He
married Pearl V. Carpenter on July 31, 1937 at Manitowoc. Prior to retirement in
1968 he had been employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding and the Aluminum Foundry. Mr.
Thielen was a member of Boilermakers Local No. 443.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl; a son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Darlene
Thielen of Valders; a daughter, Dolores Yung of Mongomery, Alabama; a grandson,
Jeffrey Thielen of Valders; a granddaughter, Mrs. Michael (Bethel) Murphy of
Alabama and a great granddaughter, Casey Murphy of Alabama.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 pm to 8 pm this Sunday and
Monday to the time of services.
