Adolph Thielen, former Manitowoc resident, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital,
Racine. He had resided at 2511 Green St., Racine.
Masonic services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pfeffer Funeral
Home, Manitowoc with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Thielen was born in Manitowoc where he married the former Elsie Krumn. The
couple moved to Racine 28 years ago where he was a projector and movie operator.
He was business agent for the movie operators for about 20 years.
A 32nd degree Mason, Mr. Thielen was a member of the Racine lodge of Free and
Accepted Masons, No. 18, a member of the Wisconsin Consistory, the Tripoli Shrine
of Milwaukee, the Racine Shrine Club and the Manitowoc Aerie of the Fraternal
Order of Eagles. He served 15 years on the Police and Fire Commission at Racine
and currently was its president.
Mr. Thielen was a member of the Wagner Club of Warner Bros. Theater.
Surviving him are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Alvin Hagers of Manitowoc; three
brothers, Peter of Valders, Henry of Manitowoc, and Charles of San Diego, Calif.;
a sister, Mrs. John Grun of Kenosha and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.
