Mr. Donald H. Teske, 71, of 915 Dewey Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday, June 18,
1987 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm
Monday at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Karen Hanson will officiate with
burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be accorded
by V.F.W. Post No. 659.
Mr. Teske was born November 19, 1915 at Antigo, Wisconsin, son of the late Harry G.
and Anastacia Basl Teske. Mr. Teske attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated
from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1935. Mr. Teske was employed at Burger
Boat Company as a marine electrician, retiring in 1979. Mr. Teske was a World War
II Veteran serving in the South Pacific. Following his retirement he worked at
Newton Meat and Sausage Company for a number of years. He married the former Hazel A.
Zermuehlen on April 16, 1941 at Two Rivers. The couple then came to Manitowoc to make
their home. Mr. Teske was a member of First Lutheran Church and a member of the
Clipper City Chordsman since 1969. He was also a member of Eagles Aerie No. 706 and
a life member of the Manitowoc Maritime Museum.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel of Manitowoc; a son and a daughter-in-law, Jon D.
and Joyce A. Teske of Olney, Maryland; a brother and a sister-in-law, E.G. and
Marjorie Teske of Phoenix, Arizona; a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Harold A.
and Ruth Zermuehlen and Mrs. Elvita Lalko, all of Two Rivers; two grandchildren, Joel
and Joellyn Teske of Olney, Maryland and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 pm to 9 pm Sunday and from
9 am to 11 am on Monday and then at the church from 12 noon until the hour of service.
Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church Easy Access Fund and the American Cancer
Society.
