Mr. Szyperski, age 61 years, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at McLaren Bay Regional Medical Center following a lingering illness. He was born on April 27, 1951 in Bay City, Michigan to John & Charmaine (Champagne) Szyperski Jr. Dana enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and wood working, but most of all he loved being outdoors. He is survived by his son Dana-DJ (Jessica) Szyperski II, a grandson Tyler Stanley, his father John Szyperski Jr., a brother Jim (Lorie) Szyperski III, a sister Kathy (Jerry) Dubay, brother-in-law Michael Snyder and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Charmaine and a sister Karen Snyder.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday January 7, 2013 at 10 am from St. Michael's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Joseph Miller presiding with inurnment in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 8 pm. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 7 pm. On Monday Dana will lie in state at the church from 9 am until time of service.
