Born in Cobb County, GA on March 16, 1948, he was a son of the late Harry C. Swindell and was brother of the late Timothy Swindell.
He was a member of the Cornelia First Presbyterian Church and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He was an employee of Rich's Department Stores in Atlanta.
Survivors are: his mother, Eleanor Little Swindell of Baldwin; sister, Eleanor Tarr of Athens, brothers, Charles Swindell of Winder, Leland Swindell of Carnesville, David Swindell and Richard Swindell of Miami, FL and Jerry Swindell of Baldwin.
Funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 1993 at Cornelia First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Paul Kirbas officiating. Burial in Cross Roads Bapt. Church Cemetery in Carnesville.
