JoLane Budelier, 81, of Rock Island, IL passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Amber Ridge Memory Care, Moline with her daughters by her side.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at St. Pius X Church, Rock Island, IL. A private burial is planned at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to St. Pius X Church.
JoLane was born Aug. 22, 1934, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Fischbach) Sweeney. She graduated from Alleman High School in 1952. She was united in marriage to Francis (Bud) Joseph Budelier on January 18, 1958, at Sacred Heart Church in Rock Island. He died on 1994.
JoLane enjoyed her work as the office manager and legal secretary for over 30 years at Eagle and Eagle Attorneys in Rock Island.
JoLane was a member of St. Pius X Church, Rock Island. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and their families. She cherished spending time with her “lunch bunch” and Alleman high school classmates. The family would like to thank her friends, family and the staff at Amber Ridge Memory Care for their support.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim Budelier (partner, Diane Binkoski), Redondo Beach, CA, Karen Budelier Brown (Bob Brown), Rock Island, and Kris (Kevin) Rennison, Rock Island; grandchildren, Ashley Miles, Denver, CO, Megan Zerjav, Joseph and Andrew Lekowski, Rock Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brother, William Sweeney.
