Alice F. Miehlke, 75, of Midland, died Thursday evening, Dec. 12, 2013 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born on Oct. 28, 1938 in Midland County, daughter of the late Harry A. and Kathleen R. (Woodrow) Sweebe.

Alice was employed by and was currently working for Valley Foods in Midland. She had enjoyed bowling, shopping, her flower gardens, doing holiday crafts and decorating for the holidays and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children, Leslie (David) Osborn of Bear Lake, Michael (Karen) Miehlke of Midland, Carol (John) Rackow of Onekama, Andrew Miehlke of Midland, Thomas Miehlke of Howell, Kathleen Miehlke of Manistee; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Bonnie Frick, Helen Sweebe, Kay (Lee) Stanford, Harry (Carol) Sweebe; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, one infant sister, Harriett Sweebe, and a sister, Myrna Behmlander, a brother-in-law Hughie Frick, an infant grand daughter Brehana Miehlke, and a niece, Beth Frick, all preceded her in death.

A memorial service for Alice will take place at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street, with The Rev. Mel Hunt officiating. Alice's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Alice's family.
