Diane Kay Berg, 69, of 27 Harlem Ave., in Lake-wood, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday (February 14, 2013), in her home following a difficult battle with cancer.
She was born Sept. 5, 1943, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Alice Olson Swanson, and was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School.
A member of Lakewood United Methodist Church, Diane also belonged to the Lakewood American Legion Post 1286 Auxiliary, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club Auxiliary and the Vikings Ingjald Lodge 65.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John M. Berg; a daughter, Jody Eason and son, Michael (Kelli) Berg, both of Nashville, Tenn.; two grand-daughters: Anna Wohlbold and Willow Berg and a grandson, Cap Berg, all of Nashville; and a brother, David (Ginny) Swanson of Jamestown.
