Lois J. (Swank) Ashbaugh, 75, of Allegheny Township, formerly of Gilpin, died at 1:20 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2005, in her residence.

She was born June 25, 1930, in Allegheny Township. A 1948 graduate of Freeport High School, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Leechburg. Her interests included shopping for antiques, going to auctions and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Ashbaugh is survived by her brother, Stanley K. (Shirley) Swank of Buffalo Township and several nieces and nephews, including Christopher and Joyce Swank with whom she made her home the past four years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earle Verne Ashbaugh, on July 25, 1971; her parents, A. Kenneth and Margaret E. (Lobaugh) Swank; a brother, Richard C. Swank; and sisters, Dorothy Wannamaker and Carolyn Johnson.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until time of funeral ceremonies at 1:30 p.m. in CLAWSON'S, Second at Main, Leechburg. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Ronald W. Raptosh. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Allegheny Township.
