Enoch Herman (Nick) Swain was born in Vernal, Utah on March 1, 1932 to Shelby and
Marion E Miller Swain. He died April 28, 2011 in Sandy, Utah.
He attended Vernal schools. After high school he joined the US Air Force from 1951-
55. He served one year in Korea. He attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah, where he
met Wilna Fisher. They were married June 3, 1960 in Logan. Nick taught at Milford High
School and served as principal at Milford High, retiring in 1994.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Laura Swain, Sandy, Utah; and Nanette (Paul)
Lippincott, Lakewood, CO; granddaughters, Constance Lippincott, Lakewood, CO; and
Tabitha (Kenny) Sheely, Ft. Belvoir, VA; one great grandson, Chetan Sheely; sisters, Iris
Hacking, Betty Wyeth, Diane Hall and Susan (Steve) Otten; and nephews and nieces. He is
predeceased by one sister, Barbra Curtis.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Milford Elementary School, Box 309,
Milford, Utah, 84751 or the charity of your choice.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. at Goff Mortuary,
8090 So. State St., Midvale, Utah. Interment, Vernal City Memorial Park, Vernal, Utah.
