Bonnie S. Dillon, 64 of Peterstown, passed away with her family by her side after a long and brave battle with cancer on Thursday, January 25, 2007. Born April 2, 1942, at Midway, VA., she was the daughter of June S. Sutton of Peterstown, and the late Chester Sutton. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her sister, Carmen Jean Skeens. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 45 years, Jimmy E. Dillon; three sons, Robert E. Dillon and wife Angela of Bassett, VA., Jeffery K. Dillon and wife Kimberly of Caldwell, WV., and Scott T. Dillon and wife Deanna of Martinsburg, WV; one brother, Carlton “Corky” Sutton and wife Amanda of Peterstown, two brothers-in-law, Larry Skeens of Princeton, WV and Bobby Lee Dillon and wife Gayle of Peterstown; one sister-in-law, Lillian Reynolds and husband Bud of Peterstown; one granddaughter, Crystal Kiser and husband Brian of Bassett, VA., and two grandsons, Christopher Dillon and wife Mindy of Fort Drum, Watertown, NY and David C Dillon of Bassett, VA; four great grandchildren, Madison and Tyllir Dillon, of Fort Drum, Watertown, NY., and Mckinley and Katlyn Dillon of Bassett, VA. Bonnie worked at Sears & Roebuck in Pearisburg, VA,. for six years before opening her own beauty shop in Rich Creek, VA., operating it for six years. She then worked as Secretary for the Peterstown Missionary Baptist Church for three years before taking a job at Celco Federal Credit Union where she retired in 2004. She enjoyed painting and working in her flower gardens at home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday January 28, 2007 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, with Rev. Jonathan Jennings officiating. Burial will follow at the Peterstown Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday January 27, 2007 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Kanawha Hospice Care, Inc. 540 N. Jefferson St., Box 7, Suite D, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
