MRS. BEAVER DIES THURSDAY
Former Local Woman Is Stricken while on Visit Here.
Mrs. Bertie Beaver, 71, died at 4:50 o'clock Thursday morning at the county hospital. Mrs. Beaver, a resident of Kingman, Kans., was admitted to the hospital a week ago when she became ill while visiting relatives here.
Surviving are the husband, Elmer Beaver; three daughters, Mrs. Opal Moore and Mrs. Lynn Hegwood, both of Columbus, and Mrs. K. G. Vaniman of Wichita, Kans.; two sons, Walter and Doyle Butler of Brownstown and a step-son, Harold Beaver, of Kingman; two sisters, and three brothers.
Born in Jackson county, she was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Robert Sutton. In 1902 she was married to William Butler, who died in 1943. Since her marriage to Mr. Beaver in October, 1953, she resided in Kingman.
Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Radcliff Grove Christian church near Browntown by the Rev. Murrell Deckard of Franklin. Burial will be made at Smallwood cemetery in Jackson county.
Casket is open at the family home near Brownstown.
