Carolyn McNeely, 81, of Underwood, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, in Jeffersonville.
She was born Oct. 1, 1932, in Bloomington, to Earl and Olive Curry Surber. She was formerly employed with Dr. Thomas Nehamer.
She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Davidson of Underwood; one son, John Edward Ray of St. Cloud, Fla.; three sisters, Janice Fletcher of Crothersville, Betty Sue Mosier of Lexington and Beverly Davis of Weaver, Ala.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Leslie Ray, who died in Aug. 1966; her second husband, Eldon McNeely, whom she married in March 1973, and who died in Dec. 1991; her parents; and one brother, Thomas Hugh Surber.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church in Lexington. Burial will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church today from 9 a.m. until the service.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church. Contributions can be made through Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home in Scottsburg, which is in charge of arrangements.
