She was a daughter of the late Martin L and Sarah Catherine Poffenberger Summers.
She has been a member of Zion Lutheran Church for many years.
Surviving are these daughters and sons: Mrs. Carrie E Grove, at home; Mrs. James W Whipp, Sharpsburg; Mrs. Edgar Poffinberger, Broad Run; Oscar F Brown, McKaig; Clarence E Brown, Jefferson; Theodore R Brown, Walkersville; Mrs. Howard Burrier, Walkersville; Mrs. Harry Staley, Bloomfield; and John M Brown, near Libertytown; 35 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services Wednesday at 11 am at M E Etchison and Son Funeral Home. Interment in Middletown Lutheran Cemetery.
