Addison Monroe was the son of John A. Summers and Susan Holmes Adams Summers.He married Tabitha Carrie Owens abt 1866. She was born in Illinois 1851 and died Oct 1895 Washington County, Illinois.
The marriage union produced 11 children: Sarah Elizabeth, Isabelle. Ida Mae, Althadama or Dora , Gertrude Mae, Harry, William, James M, Leon and Claude Arthur and last unknown child.

After the death of "Carrie", Addison married an unknown woman, then 10 Oct 1899 he married Emma Lenz. She survived him.

Addison served in the Civil War, his rank was PVT. Company B Unit 13 IL US Cav Con.

Obituary: From the 28 Nov 1907 Nashville Journal:
"A. M. Summers died Saturday at Ashley. Born at Okawville, Ill. on Feb. 4, 1844. Was a Union Soldier. He married 1st Carrie Owens who died Oct 1895. Had 11 children, 5 died. Married second 1896. Was divorced. Married 3rd time to Miss Emma Lenz who survives. Buried I. O. O. F . Cemetery, Ashley".
