A graveside service for Evelyn Sullivan Adams of Paris will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Cemetery. John Bowles will officiate.
Chosen as pallbearers are Dana Tillet, Steve Odom, Andy Richardson, Tony Atwill, Jeremy Lindsey and Jason Raines.
Honorary pallbearers will be her caregivers: Jean Hollingsworth, Lynn Steffes, Lola Bailey, Amanda Miller and Georgia Bowles.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at McEvoy Funeral Home.
Adams, 92, died Thursday, March 12, 2009, at her residence.
Born in Henry County on Aug. 5, 1916, she was the daughter of Luco Johnson "Short" Sullivan and Dora Elizabeth McCall Sullivan, now both deceased.
She was married on May 9, 1935, to Louie P. Adams, who died Jan. 9, 1995.
She was a member of Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church and was formerly employed at Jim Adams Cafeteria in Paris.
She leaves one daughter: Nancy "Nan" Adams Robbins of Paris; one son: James L. "Jim" (Pat) Adams of Paris; a sister-in-law: Dorothy Sullivan of Paris; five grandchildren: Danny and Brad Robbins, Cindy Tillet, Jan Odom and Pam Petty; 15 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Wales Robbins on Dec. 12, 2002; and two brothers: Harper and Albert Sullivan.
