Chalma Sullivan Fortune, 90, died on Saturday, June 28, 2003, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was a resident of Laurel Baye Healthcare, where she received loving care.
Born on July 16, 1912, she was a native of Anderson, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Montaville and Susan Wells Sullivan. Mrs. Sullivan was the widow of the late Richard Sherman "Dick" Fortune.
She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are four daughters, Peggy F. and her husband William S. Farmer, Ginger F. and her husband Oscar T. Lowe, Martha F. Keller, and Jerri F. Keenum all of Greenville; one son, Rex C. Fortune of Greenville; one daughter–in-law, Wilma Fortune of Travelers Rest; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Tex R. Fortune, and a grandson, Michael Fortune.
Visitation will be held today, June 30, from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. with services to follow at 3 p.m. at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Downtown Chapel. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, West.
