Prominent Member Irish Family Pneumonia Victim
Profound grief spread in many circles here yesterday with the announcement of the death of Mrs. William Cronin, age 28, who died early Sunday morning at Mayo Bros. hospital in Rochester, Minn. Mrs. Cronin was in the institution to undergo a minor operation and contracted pneumonia while in the institution. Complications arising from the disease are held responsible for her death.
A pathetic side of the case is that the Cronin's were making arrangements to visit Ireland shortly after she was discharged from the hospital. Passports had been secured for the trip to the old country.
Mrs. Cronin is survived by her husband, prominent local resident and four children, three boys, aged 3, 5 and 8 years respectively, and a girl aged 7 years. Besides the members of her immediate family three brothers, John, Tim and Mark Sullivan and two sisters, Mrs. Kate Mullin of Casper and a sister in Rochester, N.Y., survive her. The deceased's mother and father are still living in Ireland.
The remains will arrive in Casper today escorted by Mr. Cronin and many prominent members of Irish families of Casper who will go to Chadron today to accompany the cortege.
According to present arrangements the funeral will be held from St. Anthony's Catholic Church tomorrow morning, with Rev. John Mullin officiating. Interment will be made here.
