Louise Annette (Sturgis) Caddell, 89, of Wildwood, Fla., went home to be with her Lord May 6, 2012. She was born Oct. 27, 1922, in Quincy, Mass., to the late Lester B. and Verna M. (Bent) Sturgis. Louise was married Oct. 7, 1941, to Jonathan Don Caddell in Stoughton, Mass. Prior to her marriage, she worked at Tubular Rivet Company factory in Wollaston, Mass. Louise had a longtime love of her Lord an Savior beginning at the age of 12 when she was confirmed in the church. She began teaching Sunday school at the age of 16 and her work in the church continued until she was in her 70s. Louise joined the Perseverance Rebekah Lodge in Stoughton, Mass., in 1962, where she served faithfully as Noble Grand, past Noble Grand and District Deputy President. She continued to serve as Inside Guardian of the Rebekah Assembly Board and became a member of Seven Stars Rebekah Lodge. Louise was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church and had attended Oxford Assembly of God Church also. However, she had been unable to attend either church due to illness. Louise had two sons, Jonathon D. Skip Caddell, born Oct. 17, 1943, and Calvin L. Caddell, born Sept. 8, 1955. Louise was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband of 55 years in 1996, and her son, Jonathan in 1994. She is survived by her devoted son, Calvin of Wildwood, Fla.; her sister, Doris M. Rowell of Manomet, Mass.; her brother, Lester B. Sturgis of Quincy, Mass.; one granddaughter, Barbara L. (Caddell) Dawhare of Cohoes, N.Y.; one great-grandson, Nicholas Dawhare, also of Cohoes, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and beloved friends, John D. and Cheryl Lackey of Marianna, Fla. A memorial service will be held at Oxford United Methodist Church Friday, May 11, 2012, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Stoughton, at a later date. Online condolences may be left at Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Lady Lake, Fla.
