Charles Robert Sturgis, 84, of Lake Oswego died on July 1, 2009 at his home. He was born in Los Angeles, California, the only child of Lewis Glenn and Mary (Warren) Sturgis and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He graduated from UCLA and married Bette Veline on June 20, 1948. He was a partner in the public accounting firm of Price Waterhouse prior to his retirement in 1985. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bette; and his daughter, Cynthia Sturgis. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Sturgis of Portland. Disposition was by cremation. There will be no formal memorial services.
