Mrs. Jeanne Lucille Anderson, 79, of Mitchell passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Stratford General Hospital on Friday, November 21, 2008.
Beloved wife of Francis J. Anderson. Dear mother of Frank Anderson of Mitchell (partner Helen Matthews of London), Paul (Teresa) Anderson of RR 1, St. Marys and Barbara (Ross) Bode of Mitchell; loving grandmother of nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; dear sister of Gerald Sturgeon of Cambridge; dear sister-in-law of Beryl Sturgeon of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by the Anderson family and a number of nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Maude Sturgeon, sisters Helen (Dennis) Bisback and Eva (Adam) Kirchener, brothers Fred and Stuart Sturgeon and sister-in-law Audrey Sturgeon.
Jeanne was a Past President of the Glen Gowrie Women's Institute, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Main St. United Church, Mitchell. She was a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Exeter Chapter #222.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Sunday 1:30-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Camillia LaRouche officiating. Interment in Kirkton Union Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
