MRS. SUSAN G. BEACH
Mrs. Susan G. Beach, aged 92, died at the home of her son, Frederick J. Beach, 489 South Franklin street, last evening of general debility.
Mrs. Beach was a descendent of Revolutionary stock. Born the daughter of Major John Sturdevant, whose ancestors settled in Connecticut in 1714. She was born at Skinners Eddy, Wyoming county, and spent her childhood days there. She reiceived her education at Wilkes-Barre Institute.
Her husband, Major George W. Beach, died in 1888. Mrs Beach was a member of the First Methodist Church and in former days was always active in church and charity work. She has resided for many years with her family at Fort George Island, Florida, an estate owned by her husband. She is survived by one son, Frederick Beach, of this city, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, a daughter, Mrs. John C. Ayers of Philadelphia died four years ago. The funeral will be held from the home of her son, 489 South Franklin street, and will be private. Interment in Hollenback cemetery.
