Mrs. Sarah M Baker, 75, widow of Peter A Baker, died at her home, 34 Breckenridge Street, this morning at 6:00 from the effects of a paralytic stroke suffered December 16, 1930, which left her partially helpless.
Mrs. Baker was born in Franklin township, the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Stultz, and had always resided in Adams county. She resided in Gettysburg for the past four years.
Mr. Baker died March 23, 1919.
She is survived by one son, Howard H Baker, Biglerville R1, and one daughter, Miss Eva G Baker, at home; one sister, Mrs. J A Smith, Milligeville, Illinois, and one brother, Robert Stultz, Moorefield, West Virginia. Four grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
Mrs. Baker was a life long member of the Mt. Carmel United Brethren Church, Orrtanna.
Brief funeral services from the home, Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, with further services in Mt. Carmel United Brethren church, the Rev. Palmer Slenker officiating, assisted by the Rev. N B S Thomas, of Gettysburg. Interment in Mt. Carmel cemetery.
