Lois Estelle Arehart Studds, 97, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2004 at home after a short illness.


Mrs. Studds was born July 8, 1907 at Fairfield, Virginia, to the late Robert Sylvester and Ida Belle Buckanan Arehart.


Mrs. Studds was a retired teacher, homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairlea, West Virginia.


She is survived by a daughter, Carol Ann Rilley of Lewisburg, WV; a granddaughter, Lisa Ann Lucas Raabe and husband Christopher Lawrence Raabe; great grandson, Denton Christopher Raabe; nieces and nephews: Jan M. Swink, Tobert B. Swink, James A Swink, Betty L. Michael, Helen Myers, Charles Coulding, Helen Ott and H. Houston Swink, Jr. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews.


A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Wildwood Baptist Church, Old Georgetown, Road, Bethesda, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greenbrier Valley Hospice, 540 N. Jefferson St., lewisburg, WV. 24901.
