Eber Clarence Stubbs was born April 24, 1876 in Chase county, Kansas and departed this life at his home March 6, 1917, at 3 a.m. aged 40 years, 10 months and 12 days.

He was married to Miss Lois Quier July 24, 1906, and to this union one child (little Virginia) was born.

He was converted last June and united with the Methodist church here and since that time has lived a consistent Christian life, patiently bearing his sorrows and suffering and ever looking froward to that beautiful home of rest and peace where sorrows and cares never come.

Of his immediate family only father and brother remain, his mother having preceded him in death some 30 years ago.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon by Rev. R.F. Lyon assisted by Rev. F.C. Medearis, and burial was made in the Burden cemetery.

The Burden Masonic Lodge conducted services at the grave.
