Marianna was the daugher of Joseph Strzelczyk and Brigide Scholtesi, born in Pluznica Wielka, Poland and baptised at Sw. Stanislaws (St. Stanislaus) Church there. She married John Korus in 1851.
Three years later they sailed to Texas with daughters, Anastasia and Marianna, settling first in Panna Maria, then in Las Gallinas, where they raised a large family.
The children (in addition to those linked below) were: Marianna 1853-Poland, Andrew 1856, John 1858, Apolonia 1866, and Agnes about 1873.
Mariana's sister, Balbina Strzelczyk and her husband Caspar Sobeczek are buried nearby. (FAG #42679601)
