Born in Morristown, N.J., Mrs. Stroud moved to the Portland are from New York in 1944 and worked in the Oregon shipyards during World War II. After the war she worked in private service. She lived in Vanport until the flood of 1948 destroyed the city. She was a longtime member of Faith Tabernacle Church, where she had served as president of the Mother’s Club.
Mrs. Stroud is survived by a son, the Rev. Ellis H. Casson of San Diego; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in River View Cemetery.
