Rites Set For Mrs. W. E. Arnold
Word was received here Sunday of the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Strother Arnold, formerly of Winchester and Lexington at her home in Biloxi, Miss.
Mrs. Arnold was the widow of Dr. W. E. Arnold, Methodist minister, and the mother of Dr. W. E. Arnold, former instructor at Kentucky Wesleyan college.
Survivors include a daughter, Miss Katherine Strother Arnold, of Mississippi, and a son, Dr. W. E. Arnold, Jr., of Philadelphia, Pa., and two grandsons.
The body will arrive in Louisville at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday and will be taken to the Kerr funeral home in Lexington.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the grave in Hillcrest cemetery at Lexington by the Rev. Bruce Strother, assistant pastor of the First Methodist church at Lexington, and the Rev. E. K. Arnold, pastor of the Methodist church at Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers will be Frank Utterback, Elmer Hinkle, Howard Dorsey, Park Strother, Nelson Gay and William Dorsey.
