Faye Jones (1923 - 2012)
Faye Jones, 88, of Lampasas passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at a Temple hospital. Service: Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service for Faye at 2 p.m. Monday at J.E. Foust & Sons Funeral Home, 512 S. Main St., Grapevine. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Faye was born on April 30, 1923, in Edgewood to her parents, Lewis and Lena Stribling. Faye was the oldest of four. She married Leo at Cleveland Street Baptist in Dallas on Dec. 16, 1945. They had three children. She was a longtime resident of Fort Worth for 38 years and employed by General Dynamics as a clerk in the engineering department for 25 years. Faye was a member of Haltom Road Baptist Church and later First Baptist Church of Grandview and then First Baptist Church of Lampasas. She enjoyed reading, gardening and teaching Sunday School. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, and one sister, Iva Mayes.
Survivors: Faye will be remembered by her loving children, Beverly and Mike Wood of Lampasas, Patty and Ken Baker of Fort Worth and Steve and Dorothy Jones of San Antonio. She is also survived by grandchildren, Ross Wood, Steven Baker, Joseph Baker, James Baker, Kenny Jones, Christi Freeman; great-grandchildren, Luke Wood, Alex Baker, Elizabeth Jones, Ashleigh Jones, Addison Jones, Seth Freeman, Mason Freeman; and sisters, Elene Waller, Anita Stribling.
