Buried in Faulkenberry Cemetery (Section H), Groesbeck, Limestone, Texas. Widow Carrie R. Strayhorn filed Texas Pension Application (#1141) 27 Sep 1905 from Limestone Co., Texas. The deponents in the application are his brother Lucious and Gen. William L. Cabell---the claim was disapproved. She applied again in Nov 1909 (#18,069) and was approved. Brother of Lucious L. and Samuel Leonidas Strayhorn.
