Grace Stratton "G.G.", 89, of Richmond, formerly of Sandston, was reunited with the love of her life Henry, on June 5, 2008. She was born in East Moline, Ill. on December 18, 1918 to the late Emery Ward Stratton and Della Ester Vinnedge. Grace was a graduate of the Russell High school in East Point, Ga. She was the owner operator of the Grace Stratton School of Dance in Atlanta. Grace was a devoted mother and housewife. She was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church, the Old Dominion Model A Club, the Women's Club of Sandston and the Daughters of the American Revolution, Chancellor Withe Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew George Couch II; and son, Andrew George Couch III; beloved husband, Henry Matthews Faulkner; brothers, Brad, Homer and Jimmie; sister, Anna Eckert; and son-in-law, Danny Ray Bailey.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane Bailey of Richmond; grandchildren, Calvin Matthews Bailey and wife, Jodi of Richmond, Shannon Bailey Nguyen and husband, Cuong of Richmond; great-grandchildren, Parker Andrew and Payton Rae Bailey, Jordan Ray and Michael Jace Nguyen.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Nelsen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Corinth United Methodist Church in Sandston. Burial will immediately follow at Washington Memorial Park.
