Tamar was the daughter of Levi and Sarah Elizabeth Harrison Strain.

She married Rufus Gilbert DeHart on December 23, 1906.

Mother of 4 daughters: Doris Eugenia, Elfreda Elizabeth, Christine Elinor and Carol Rose DeHart.

Fairbanks Woman Dies at Hospital

Mrs. Tamar DeHart, 82, of Fairbanks, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mary Sherman Hospital in Sullivan.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Doris Chowning, Fairbanks; Mrs. Elfreda Lamber, Indianapolis, Mrs. Christine Medsker, Merom, and Mrs. Carol Rose Morgan, Wood River, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Big Springs Christian Church.

Services were held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the DeBaun Prairie Creek Chapel with the Rev. Ben Merrold officiating. Burial was in Pogue Cemetery.
