Mary Alyce (Strahan) Dugan, aged 90, of Shipman, Illinois, died October 11, 2008, at the Heritage Nursing Home in Carlinville, Illinois. Born December 24, 1917, in Bunker Hill, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Tolman and Grace (Simpson) Strahan Henson.
After receiving her cosmetology license at the age of 19, Mary Alyce operated a beauty shop in Shipman for 29 years. She was a member of Shipman United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Dugan was preceded by her parents and her husband, Milo Lloyd "Sprue" Dugan.
Mrs. Dugan was survived by a son, Dennis (and his wife Pam); a grandson, John M. (and his wife Jenny); great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Casey, and Madalyn; a sister, Pauline (Strahan) Meyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
