HATTERAS - Lona Stowe Austin, 79, died Nov. 6 at and Elizabeth City hospital.
A native of Hatteras, she was the daughter of the late William And Lula Stowe and the widow of Albert Willie Austin, Sr.
Mrs. Stowe (sic) was a homemaker and a member of Hatteras United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Rae Farrow of Buxton; one step-daughter, Eileen Miller of Buxton; one step-son, Albert W. Austin, Jr. of Hatteras; two brothers, Ronald Stowe and Maurice Stowe, both of Hatteras; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Nov. 9 at the Hatteras United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Huskins, the Rev. Don Brown and Rev. Shawn Mizelle officiating. Burial will follow in the Rollinson Family Cemetery, Frisco. Twiford's Island Chapel, Hatteras, is in charge of arrangements.
